Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas from Missionary Shannon Buckner:

It's the most wonderful time....of the year! Why? Because we have the amazing privilege of celebrating the advent of Christ.  The coming of Jesus to reconcile God to man fulfilled more than 300 prophecies from the Old Testament.  His birth was humble, but at his birth angels rejoiced, lowly shepherds were chosen to worship him, a star announced his arrival, and kings from afar followed that star to worship this "King of the Jews."

We continue to celebrate today because with the coming of "Immanuel," God with us, God has continued to be "with us" as he walked the earth, related to us, and then sent the Holy Spirit to continue to be our constant comforter. What a gift! The gift of love, the gift of presence, the gift of eternal life. What greater gift could we ask for?

I pray that during this Christmas season you find peace, joy, and hope in our Savior - Jesus Christ. Enjoy your family and friends, but also take time to worship the King!

Thank you so much for your prayers and partnership in missions.  Lots of exciting things are happening as I prepare to return to Europe. If you would like to find out more, you can read my recent newsletter by clicking here for the online link.
With love and blessings for Christmas and the year ahead,
