He is Risen!

As I watch the sun rise this morning, I once again reflect on what happened more than 2000 years ago on a particular Sunday morning when Jesus, God in the form of man, after having been arrested, tried (and found innocent), ridiculed, beaten, hung on a cross, and laid in a borrowed tomb, came to life once again. His message was hope, his actions were love, his pain was real - and he did it all for you and me.

I am a believer in Jesus Christ, and made a decision to live for him more than 20 years ago. Not a day goes by that I do not thank Him for the sacrifice he made on a cross for me. And He did it for you as well. He was God who came to earth as a man. He lived and breathed, worked and walked, spent time with people and was as a real as you and I so that we could have life. This is not an ordinary life, but life more abundant and life eternal. No other religion offers this same claim.

This is why I celebrate Easter. Not for the eggs and Easter bunnies, but because of Jesus. He is the reason that I live each day, and I invite you to get to know Him.
