Prayers for Thanksgiving

Celebrating an American holiday while in another country is always a bit anti-climatic. The day came and went, however, the day did not end without being thankful for my family and friends and God's many blessings that have filled my life.

The day after Thanksgiving has been one filled with prayer. I spent the morning in the emergency room with one of our students who fell down her stairs. She's doing well now, but I appreciate your continued prayers for Joanna. Then this afternoon, our CTS family was shaken by the news that the 12-year old granddaughter of one of my colleagues was diagnosed with cancer in an advanced stage. Thank you for praying with us for Esther who lives in France with her missionary parents.

I am thankful to God for hearing our prayers, for healing our bodies, and for being concerned about every areas of our lives, and the lives of our friends and families. I'm also thankful to you for sharing these burdens of prayer. I'll keep you updated on the news about Esther. They are planning for surgery to remove the tumor on her thyroid next week.
