Wow...the team from Faith A/G in Pasco, Washington did an amazing job on our campus this week. Check out Pastor Darrel Johnsen's blog - click here! You'll see some photos of the team and a report of their activities. Thanks so much for coming guys.
Their main job was to help with several issues in one of our staff houses on campus. It's only about 150 years old, had major electrical issues, part of the roof was falling in, and if you took a shower upstairs, someone downstairs could reap the same benefits! While they accomplish the task of refurbishing this house, they also tackled another that I couldn't believe they could do. When a group of people, committed to the Lord and willing to travel thousands of miles to help the work of the Kingdom, put their hands to work, it is amazing what they can accomplish.
So...if you or your church would like to bring a team to CTS, we welcome you. We have two other teams coming this year. In June, People's Church in Salem, Oregon, will come to help us gut & reconstruct our Girl's Dormitory bathroom...a huge need. Then in September, the Women's Ministries from my home state of Arkansas are bringing 25 people to finish up the several tasks that need to be accomplished before our school year begins, including laying carpet, finishing work on the house the Pasco team started on, and general clean-up on our campus prior to student arrivals. (Arkansas friends...if you would like to be a part of this team...link to the WM website to get the details!)
I've blogged before about partnership...these teams are what I am talking about. At CTS we don't have the finances or personnel to accomplish all of the work that needs to take place on our campus. We have a 300 year-old main building and grounds that need constant attention. However, we want to focus our attention on the students that God has brought to us to disciple and train for ministry. So how do we get it all done...God partners us together with people who have specific gifts and talents, who can do things that we cannot. We are so thankful that God has made the Kingdom of God a "body" that functions so well when placed together doing His work. I pray each day that God will bless those members of the body that sacrifice time, energy, and finances to help us.
