Partners

It's been a month since my last post...Don't know where the time has gone, but know that I've been busy! In February we held Spiritual Emphasis on the CTS campus. Rev. Mike Sherwood, pastor of an Elim congregation outside of London, England, was our guest speaker. He truly challenged all of us to have a vision for God's plan, and to humble ourselves to all that God wants to do in our hearts. If you want to see photos of Spiritual Emphasis, just click here for a link to the CTS website.

We also had our own version of College Days called "Open Doors." Over 40 guests came to visit CTS and 17 completed applications to enroll in our training program next year. It was a great couple of day. Keep praying that God will open the door for more students to train for full-time ministry.

It was a joy to have guests from Virginia on our campus last week. Each fall and spring CTS has an "intensive" week where we teach practical ministerial training courses. Our French-speaking students studied about spiritual deliverance, and our English-speaking students enjoyed the teaching of professors from Leadership Training International.
God has brought many people from around the world to partner with the ministry of Continental Theological Seminary, and these friends were a blessing to our students - training them how to be good spiritual leaders

Personally, I enjoyed spending time with these folks as well. One of the professors brought her husband and two sons with her. Before the boys left, the oldest, Robby, gave me a special stick/cane he had found. I believe I've made a new friend and have added the cane (hand carved with my name and a special saying from the movie "Nanny McPhee") to my collection of special items given by special people. So...if you are reading this Robby - thanks for the cane! I'll keep it forever, but you can use it when you come back to visit!

All this to say that God has placed us on this earth to partner with one another in His work. And it takes us all. We can't teach our students everything there is to know about being involved in Christian Ministry - but we can partner with others who instill in them things that we can't - people who say things in a way that we wouldn't think to. I'm thrilled that God has made His Kingdom of believers a BODY - all of us working together to accomplish things that separately would never become a reality.

Don't forget to check out my website - www.shannonbuckner.org. My latest newsletter will be posted soon so you can read about what is happening.

And as the old westerns used to say..."Take care of yourself, partner!" Remember...we are in this thing together! Blessings to you.
